APPLIED LEARNING
Robotics for Sustainability
An applied learning program introducing youth from vulnerable communities to robotics as a tool for addressing sustainability challenges. Participants design and program prototypes in response to real environmental issues in their communities and territories.
The experience strengthens STEAM capabilities, critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving. Implemented in remote communities in Colombia, the program has been conceived as a scalable model with potential for expansion across Latin America.
CAPACITY BUILDING
STEAM for Sustainability
A capacity-building initiative designed to connect young people with Canadian institutions and apply Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics to challenges related to climate action and the circular economy.
The initiative combines project-based learning, innovation and international mentorship, prioritizing opportunities for youth, Indigenous communities and women returning to education while supporting new generations of sustainability leaders.
